If you host on Airbnb or VRBO in Charlotte, the clean between guests decides your next review. Guests notice a hair in the shower or crumbs in a drawer long before they notice the art on the wall. A turnover clean is how you make every stay start the same way: in a home that looks like nobody has been there.
Here's how our Airbnb cleaning works, what it covers, and how to set your rental up so changeovers go smoothly.
What a turnover clean covers
Every Airbnb turnover follows our deep clean checklist, not a quick tidy. Room by room:
- Kitchen: inside and outside of cabinets, inside the microwave, oven and refrigerator, countertops and backsplash sanitized, sink and faucet disinfected, trash emptied
- Bathrooms: tub and shower scrubbed, toilets disinfected inside and out, sink, vanity and mirrors, floors, light switches and handles
- Bedrooms: beds made with the linens you leave out, surfaces and nightstands wiped, floors vacuumed, baseboards and trim
- Living areas: surfaces dusted and wiped, floors vacuumed and mopped, light switches and door handles sanitized, vents and ceiling fans dusted

What isn't included
Laundry isn't included. We make the beds with clean linens you leave out, so keep a full spare set (sheets, pillowcases and towels) at the property for each bed. Restocking supplies like coffee, toiletries and paper goods is also up to you; leave them where your cleaner can see them if you want them set out.
Same-day turnovers
When one guest checks out in the morning and the next checks in that afternoon, the home has to be reset in between. Same-day turnovers are available for back-to-back bookings. Book the turnover for the time between your checkout and check-in, and put both times in your booking notes so your cleaner knows the window.
Getting in without you there
You don't need to be at the property. Add your lockbox, key code or front desk instructions to your booking notes. Door codes and lockbox details are kept confidential and shared only with your assigned cleaner, and we let you know when we arrive and when we finish.
One thing to check before each booking: make sure the code or lockbox in your notes is current. If our cleaner can't get in within 15 minutes of trying to reach you, a lockout fee applies, the same as for any clean.
Tips for smoother changeovers
- Keep a spare linen set and towels for every bed in a closet you note in your booking.
- Ask guests to start the dishwasher and take the trash out at checkout; it gives your cleaner more of the window for the deep clean checklist.
- Note anything guest-specific in your booking: extra guests, pets, a party, a spill. It tells your cleaner where to look first.
- Tell us within 24 hours if anything was missed. Our satisfaction guarantee means we come back and re-clean the missed area free.
